Are you a Statesboro fan of Chevy trucks but are unsure whether to pick up the new gas Silverado or Silverado EV? Please read on to learn what separates the two and what is similar.
News and Information
With the arrival of the new Chevy Silverado EV, Dublin fans of the powerful Silverado now have another option to choose from. But what sets the gas and electric models apart? For one, it is important to note that while both trucks share the Silverado name, they are drastically different from each other.
The first thing you will likely notice is a big departure in design. The Silverado EV replaces the rectangular grille of the gas truck with a blank body panel and two smaller intakes for cooling. The Silverado EV's interior is also more organic and free-flowing, allowing for an airy feel versus the gas Silverado's more boxy and rugged atmosphere.
The Silverado EV also gets a leg up on the gas Silverado in terms of power. The base electric WT pumps out 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. Compare that to the top-rated engine in the gas Silverado, which pumps out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. That is a massive difference that truck lovers will surely notice. However, the EV cannot match the towing capabilities of the gas model, which is another major point of consideration.
Which Stands Out to You?
While this is only a brief comparison between the two models, major differences are already seen between the two. While the gas Silverado still holds its own in certain areas, the Silverado EV makes a strong case. Find both at our dealership in Vidalia.
